Has anyone had a chance to watch a game yet?

My G/f took me to the Toronto Ottawa game last night (cool surprise) and I really did not notice that much of a differance. Lots of shots Ottawa had 44 and Toronto 22 (TORONTO SUCKS and they are my team) All in all I was alittle confused about the 2 red lines behind the net. And I really like that ur now aloud to make a two line pass.

Toronto lost 5-2 But it is preseason so it means nothing

On another note

I was loving the FACT the Blue Jays beat the Yankees. I was at that game earlier on in the day. The Dome was filled with Yanks fans.

The lockout was :gay: but as long as the hockey is good this year I'll still watch it. I hear alot of teams are reducing ticket prices this year to help bring the fans back. Rumor in Chicago is that Blackhawk ticket price may actually go UP.

It will be good this yr

Teams that are habitual bed shitters ie Penguins, and some other small market teams will have a chance. I am a big fan of the cap for this reason.

Phili and Ottawa have the best chance at coming out of the East. The West Watch Calgary, Vancouver both are very well equipped. Should be an intresting yr. From the looks of the pre season it will be very exciteing. Plus alot of players have to prove there worth as it is an Olympic yr so they want to make there teams.

one game out of three and they only won by a single run, and our pitcher had to be taken out because he was hit by a bat..... :blahblah: :jack:

Bahahaha

That was crazy. That bat just shattered. I was 14 rows back 1st base side. I just like the fact the Yanks lost and I was there to see the dejected look on all the yanks fans faces.

I only went cause my G/F had free tickets I am not a big baseball fan.

the two line pass was one of the dumbest rules in hockey. I stopped playing ice hockey and stuck to indoor roller because the game was much faster paced and higher-scoring without all the line infractions...BIG improvement IMO, should make the game more exciting.

New Rules focus on scoring so thats a plus, will make things a little more exciting.

Here's what sux though, they really raped the goalies up the ass with the new rules. Im a Rangers fan but I feel pretty bad for Brodeur, he was a guy who LOVED playing the puck, who could dominate the game by doing that, and now, hes stuck in that little trapezoid area. Upcoming goalies even copied Brodeur's style and now they are pretty much screwed too LOL.

I agree. More then any other major sport, the NHL needed a cap. Besides, I'm tired of the Rangers buying up every available player and STILL sucking.
Im a Rangers fan as well, it seems the past couple years, the Rangers were the retirement team, where all the best players go during their last days. With Messier gone, I think Jagr's gonna be the new Captain. What Rangers need is YOUTH. I have optimism they will pull through this year.
